This week, I have spent my time developing sketches, visual ideas and scaled map plans towards my final idea. I have done 8 sketches in total. These sketches consist of the main park area and its important player features, and the cave complete with a visual inside idea. I have also completed 2 scaled plans, one of the murder scene area and another one that shows the inside of the cave. On top of these drawings and sketches, I made a Photoshop pixel plan. I made pixel plans for the main play area (mountain), the inside of the cave and around the murder scene.
I did the planning this way as I think it has a more visual effect doing it on Photoshop than it does with a pencil and paper. I wanted to have brief sketches that show my ideas and intentions with different areas of the map, whilst also showing that I have thought about the player flow around the map in pixel form. Within my planning, I tried to highlight all of the necessary features and areas the player will encounter.
Here are all of my Photoshop work, showing the player flow around the map and the main objective.

Keep in mind that the player can walk off the path and go on their own adventures.
The next set of images are my sketches and drawings which show a better visual representation of the different sections in the forest. I also have a coloured drawing of a version 2 for my map layout. Along with the sketches, I have the scaled, planned drawing. These are for the 2 main sections of the map.
