This week has just been spent making the website look presentable, making sure it shows off my work properly and that everything is working without any issues. I went ahead to organise the pages for FMP task one and make them into one folder. I did mention this in a previous post that they were all going to be in one sub folder but I didn't get around to doing it. I have now managed to organise all my work into said sub folder.

I will now have to (after doing and finalizing all drawings and planning) make a sub folder dedicated to all the drawings in relation to the project. This includes concept art, main map plan on grid paper and figure of 8 to make sure the single player flow is spacious, although this isn't necessary as figure of eights are only needed for multiplayer maps.
I have made a start on the drawings. So far I have done 6 concept art drawings of the following areas:
- Main Forest Path, showing attention to minor details like notes.
- A zoom in of a note, hung on a random tree with the text "TUE 21/04/1994 I KILLED".
- The main Cliff edge, showing the rocky cliff as well as the river and trees below.
- The Cave entrance, showing attention to detail for the cracked rocky entrance.
- A side view of the inside cave room, showing equipment, maps and notes.
- The Skybox and mountains in the distance with some train bridges and watch towers.
After a few more concept drawings on areas not covered, I will be doing the Map Layout and the figure of eight for the forest area. I need to make sure I apply measurements to the map layout in Unreal Units and CM. Measurements are important to add because I can figure out and organize how bug my BSPs need to be and where I plan to put different objects.
I made a start on the Gantt chart making sure its updated every time I do something new in a specific area. So far I have documented the planning and research stage and now need to make sure I am documenting the planning and production stages.

My goal for the blocking out phase was to start on the 15th of April. Now this goal is passed and still I have not been able to begin. This might be a good thing and could work in my favor. The more work and documentation I have, the more inspiration I receive and the less mind blocks I bump into, so this might actually give me a boost in production instead of a loss, I just need to make sure I keep my head down and get on with it in the production stage.
It also doesn't help that I have recently suffered loss in my personal life which has taken some time out of the FMP as I have had to be elsewhere. This will also take a day or two out of my college days as I have to attend a funeral on Friday the 26th of April. This means I lose a day of production but I can easily make up time.
