Why a website?
My entire FMP is being presented on a website. I feel like this is the best thing to do in regards to my audience and the presentation of the FMP. This is because everything will be laid out in a orderly fashion and it will be easy to navigate. The goal in the end is to make the FMP easy to navigate and to make sure everything is in chronological order from the initial idea to the end of production which will be the evaluation. That way, for the audience, it will be easy to navigate so they can see the journey that I have gone through and the steps that I have taken to achieve the best possible grade and outcome I deserve. I want to make sure that the website design is easy and simple to read through. This will, again, make things much easier for my audience. I want to make sure everything is referenced appropriately so I can prove that anything that I research and say is from a source and not just me.
I am using Wix because it is a simple and easy online editor to create a website and it seems to be very reliable from previous experience with creating my online portfolio. When I created that website, the editor was extremely easy to use and navigate and not once did I get stuck or confused at something I was trying to do.

This will be a great chance to show off my work and game to people who have similar interests, students that may be interested in taking this course (Creative Digital Media Level 3) or even potential employers who would like to see more in depth work like my portfolio or online portfolio. A great opportunity that we are all being given is the end of year show. This will give us a chance to generate more feedback and get more people to look at our work.
FMP Project idea
My FMP is going to be a walking simulator with an in-depth story and plot based on a murder that happened in the exact same forest the player walks in. As they venture through, they will encounter mysterious notes left by the killer, almost like a diary. They will bump into clues along the way which they have to examine to try and gain an understanding on what happened. Along the way, sudden movements and clear noises haunt the player in this adventure.
The Goal
Taking into consideration that I have had previous experiences with Unreal Engine 4 in the sense that I know how to navigate the software, use the tools and create basic blueprints, I would like to create an in depth 3D game environment that has room for exploration and drives you through a story. I would like to put all the skills that I have together and create this level. I intend to make sure that the level is as detailed as it can be with the time I have and It would be a bonus if I could try to learn new skills and show off new technical ability's within the engine. I will be keeping track of my progress using a Gantt Chart which I have made from scratch and a peer feedback forum. I would like to get peer feedback in the final stages of the game as that is were improvements and positive feedback will be needed.
